Good Faith Estimate

In compliance with Federal healthcare laws:

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

Currently, MENtalCare is NOT accepting any insurance.

However, we do recognize that insurance helps you get access to mental health treatment more easily. We are actively working to become in-network and accept insurance soon. So please hang on. We will make an announcement once this is a possibility.

In the meantime, we recommend the following:

  • Check with your insurance company and see if they will reimburse you for your sessions with us. We can provide superbills that include services provided for you, if requested
  • You can explore group teletherapy sessions with us, which are more cost-effective without sacrificing exceptional care
  • You can opt for our annual MENtalCare CheckUp (more information below)
  • We can provide recommendations for referrals to other community health clinics that fit your unique needs while we explore ways to bring more affordable services to you. 

MENtalCare Checkup: $65/per session (30 minutes)

We strive to set a powerful precedent in the early prevention of mental health disorders.

The MENtalCare CheckUp is an annual individual session with a therapist, similar to a physical checkup with your doctor, where you complete a mental healthcare packet that screens for mental health symptoms. Your provider will review your answers and speak to you about the results. If necessary, they will propose a treatment plan and schedule you for ongoing sessions. During the session, you should bring up any concerns or questions and talk about how you have been doing over the past year. Your therapist might recommend you see them every 6 months instead of every year if they believe it would be beneficial to you.

No, there are no hidden or ghost fees outside of the fees shown above.

Additional fees may apply if the following occur:

  1. A Missed Appointment or Failure to Notify your Therapist of a Cancellation Before the Deadline  Fee: Full Session Price
  2. If you are late to your therapy session after half the session time has lapsed, therapists may cancel the session and you will be charged the full price of the session  Fee: Full Session Price
 

Yes. You can choose any one of our MENtalCare Packages and you will receive a discount on your sessions. Please review packages above to see prices, included sessions, and associated discount. Current packages include:

  • MENtalCare 101
  • MENtalCare M+
  • MENtalCare LT+

Brief Payment Policy:

  • Payment: Clients are required to pay before their session begins unless they have purchased a package. Electronic payments such as credit card or debit card, among other electronic payments are accepted. Because our services are online, cash and checks are NOT acceptable payment methods.
  • Cancellation: Clients are required to provide at least 24 hours notice of cancellation.
  • Late Arrival: Clients late to sessions after half the session time has passed, without prior communication with their clinician, are required to pay a fee.
  • Refunds: Refunds are usually not processed unless extenuating circumstances are experienced. 
  • Policy Updates: Policy changes will be communicated to all clients immediately.
