- Types of Submissions
Academic and Informational Articles
We invite contributions from clinicians, researchers, healthcare professionals, and students on a wide range of topics relevant to behavioral health, men’s health, psychology, social work, and counseling. Whether you are presenting groundbreaking research or offering a clinical perspective, MENtalCare provides a platform to share your expertise.
For Clinicians, Researchers, and Health Professionals:
Submissions must include the following information:
- Title of the article
- Author’s full name, including academic suffixes (e.g., John Doe, PhD)
- Name of the organization or institution (if applicable)
- A full list of references (if applicable) in the format of your choice
- Date the article was written
- Articles should be between 500 and 2000 words, allowing room for in-depth exploration of the topic while remaining accessible to readers.
For High School, University, or Professional Students:
We also welcome submissions from students who are passionate about mental health and related fields. While professional titles are not required, students should still provide:
- Title of the article
- Author’s full name
- Name and academic title of the reviewing professor or an equivalent professional
- Date the article was written
Articles should be between 400 and 1000 words. This is an excellent opportunity for students to contribute valuable insights and practice scholarly writing.
Personal Experiences or Insights
We value personal stories as powerful tools to raise awareness and build connections. Whether you are sharing your personal journey with mental health or offering insights that have shaped your understanding, we welcome your contribution.
- Please include the following details with your submission:
- First name of the author
- Title of the submission
- Date written
The length of personal stories should range between 150 and 450 words, allowing for meaningful yet concise reflections.

Each submission must include the author’s preferred contact information, such as an email address or phone number. This information will remain confidential and is used solely for communication regarding the status of your submission.
Article Topics
We encourage a broad spectrum of topics that relate to mental health, men’s wellness, and associated fields like psychology, social work, or counseling. Articles that address behavioral health trends, therapeutic approaches, mental health policy, personal growth, or professional experiences are all welcome. If you’re unsure whether your topic fits, feel free to reach out for clarification.

For submissions with academic references, you may use any preferred citation format, provided that it remains consistent throughout the article.
Optional Featured Photos
You are welcome to submit a relevant photo to accompany your article. A well-chosen image can enhance the message of your piece. If no photo is submitted, MENtalCare reserves the right to select a featured image that aligns with the content.
- Review and Publication Process
Once your submission is received, it will undergo a thorough review process to ensure it aligns with our mission and guidelines. Here’s what you can expect:

- Response Time: We aim to notify contributors of our publication decision within 1-2 weeks of submission. If your article is selected, we will confirm a publication date and provide any final edits for your review.
- Editing Rights: MENtalCare reserves the right to make minor editorial changes to enhance clarity and readability. However, we will never alter the core message or content of your article without your approval.

- MENtalCare’s Rights and Responsibilities
By submitting an article to MENtalCare, you grant us the following rights:
- Non-exclusive License: You retain ownership of your work but grant MENtalCare a non-exclusive, perpetual license to publish, distribute, and promote your article across our platforms (e.g., website, social media). This means you are free to publish your article elsewhere, but we ask that you credit MENtalCare if it was initially published on our site.
- Content Edits: MENtalCare reserves the right to edit your submission for grammar, clarity, and length, but we will not make substantive changes to the core content without your express approval.
- Use of Images: If you do not submit a featured photo, MENtalCare reserves the right to select an appropriate image for the article that aligns with its content.
